What is the color fastness of webbing
Color fastness is one of the important quality indicators of textiles. The term color fastness refers to the degree of color retention of dyed textiles under physical and chemical conditions. That is, the degree of fastness of dyed textiles affected by external influences is called the color fastness. The change in the color of the test sample after the test and the degree of evaluation of the degree of white cloth stain indicate the color fastness.
Among the various items in color fastness, the most commonly used color fastnesses are rubbing fastness, perspiration fastness, wash fastness, light fastness, water fastness, and scrub fastness. Degree, weather fastness and other items. In real life, the main items are determined based on the end use of the product. Among them, the perspiration resistance, dry abrasion resistance, and color fastness to water immersion are the requirements of the basic safety technical specifications for textiles. All dyed textiles should be evaluated. In addition, colorfastness to saliva is also assessed for infant textile products.
The evaluation of the color fastness generally uses the visual evaluation method, that is, using a gray sample card as a standard sample, comparing the gray card and the sample with human eyes under certain light and environmental conditions to determine the original sample discoloration and white cloth stain level number. The gray cards (color change and color staining, respectively) are five fastness grades, namely 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. Level 5 is the best and level 1 is the worst. In each of the two levels, it is supplemented with half-levels, namely 4, 5, 3 4, 2 3, 1 2. Therefore, the gray card we use every day is grade 5 and grade 9 and the result of the color fastness assessment is one of 9 grades. If the color fastness of a webbing product falls short of the standard level, then the webbing product is unqualified.
The following are the webbing standards that webbing must meet:
1. Washing fastness above level 3.5, passing ISO105-C01:1989 test standard
2. Rubbing fastness above level 3.5, passing ISO105-X12:1993 test standard
3. Fastness to sunlight above level 4 and passing ISO 105-B02:1994 test standard
